Funding & Support for Digital Archiving of Qualitative Datasets in Education, Youth & Childhood Studies

Do you want to securely preserve and potentially share your qualitative data with fellow researchers?

We are currently recruiting more projects for the SOCEY Repository, which offers secure archiving and sharing of qualitative research data. Hosted by the Australian Data Archive, the repository’s focus is material related broadly to studies of childhood, youth, and education.

The development of the repository is the work of SOCEY (Studies of Childhood, Education & Youth), a community of scholars working in the fields of childhood, education, and youth studies across a variety of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, particularly education, sociology and history.

The Repository currently contains several research projects archived as part of our pilot scheme. This pilot, and the challenges, opportunities and exemplars of best practice for archiving and sharing research data, are discussed in detail in our Discussion Paper.

We currently have the capacity to offer funding or in-kind labour to prepare and deposit research project materials and are seeking expressions of interest from researchers of childhood, youth and education in academic, government and community sectors.

If you are interested in talking with us about archiving your research data, we would love to hear from you. Make contact through project manager, Nicole Davis, via email to discuss the possibilities.
